Coaches

Dave Tapp

Prior to qualifying as a Solicitor and working as an Associate Professor for a University, I’ve had incredible relationships with people from all walks of life. In local transport, the fire service, the police service and whilst delivering First Aid and coaching Martial Arts.

These countless relationships helped me develop and understand the importance of effective communication and one’s own ability achieve on all levels, if you clarify your goals, identify the obstacles holding you back and come up with strategies for overcoming each obstacle.

Therefore, when the opportunity arose for me to develop in these areas in a way that I could support others in achieving a specific personal or professional goal I jumped at the chance.

My first qualification in coaching and conflict management was achieved in 2009, I then undertook an ILM qualification in coaching and mentoring before gaining a Level 7 university postgraduate certificate in professional coaching (AC). Since then, I have continued to develop and home in on these skills and recently became an NLP certified coach practitioner (ABNLP) and certified practitioner of timeline therapy (TLTA). I am a qualified workplace mediator and Lego Serious play facilitator, all of which I believe complement each other.

My practice is varied and includes university staff and students, the legal profession, prison staff, police officers, enforcement officers, bailiffs, public sector workers and private individuals.
